Key objectives included meeting the unique physiological demands of competitive weightlifters by offering a broad spectrum of sizes, from custom youth fits to extended plus sizes for athletes exceeding 200kg. Ensuring the fabric was elastic and skin-friendly was also paramount for athlete comfort during competition. Crucially, the federation needed the apparel delivered within a strict 20-day window, including international shipping, to align with their competition schedule, all while managing logistical and budget constraints.

The project presented multiple high-difficulty factors: 1. **Extensive Sizing:** Accommodating 10 different sizes, including three custom youth sizes and two extended plus sizes for athletes over 200kg, required new pattern development. 2. **Design Iteration:** The client provided no initial design draft, necessitating multiple adjustments and iterations by Gahumi’s team, which amplified deadline pressure. 3. **Precision Detailing:** Guam’s cultural nuances, influenced by Japanese standards, demanded extreme precision, with ±0.1cm tolerance for logo size and strict requirements for wrinkle-free necklines. 4. **Material Change:** A mid-production fabric change further increased time constraints. 5. **Logistics & Budget:** Shipping to Guam, a US-governed island, is costly and limited to express services, making budget management and ensuring a 15-day transit window a significant hurdle.

Gahumi implemented a robust, responsive production strategy. We immediately focused on creating accurate new patterns for the diverse sizing requirements, including custom options. Our design team collaborated closely with the Guam Weightlifting Federation to refine designs rapidly, ensuring client approval without significant delays.
